Huawei has expanded its MatePad lineup with two new tablets, the MatePad Air 12 and MatePad 11.5 S, offering high-end features at budget-friendly prices. Both devices run on HarmonyOS 5, feature slim designs, and boast high refresh rate displays.
MatePad Air 12
The MatePad Air 12 comes with a 12-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 2800 × 1840 pixels and a 144Hz refresh rate. Huawei also offers a PaperMatte option with nano-etching that reduces glare and light interference by up to 99%. The display supports 1,000 nits peak brightness and full DCI-P3 color gamut coverage.

The tablet is compatible with the M-Pencil Pro stylus and includes a six-speaker audio setup. It is 5.9mm thin, weighs 555 grams, and is designed for portability. The device includes 12GB RAM and 256GB or 512GB storage options, though the chipset has not been disclosed.
For photography, the Air 12 features a 50MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. The 10,100 mAh battery supports 66W fast charging, and Wi-Fi 7 is supported, but no cellular variants are currently available. Color options include Cherry Blossom Pink, Grass Green, Feather Sand White, and Smoke Gray. Prices start at $417 for 256GB and $473 for 512GB.

MatePad 11.5 S
The MatePad 11.5 S sports an 11.5-inch IPS LCD display with the same 2800 × 1840 resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. It also supports the M-Pencil Pro, but comes with a quad-speaker setup.
It offers 8GB or 12GB RAM and 256GB or 512GB storage options. Camera configuration includes a 13MP rear sensor and an 8MP front camera. The device is powered by an 8,800 mAh battery with 40W fast charging. Similar to the Air 12, chipset details and cellular support are not confirmed.
The MatePad 11.5 S is available in Field Green, Feather Sand Purple, Frost Silver, and Deep Space Gray, priced from $348 for 8/128GB to $445 for 12/512GB. Global availability is yet to be announced.
