Islamabad, Feb 12: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced a prestigious lineup of ambassadors for the upcoming Champions Trophy in Pakistan and the UAE, with former Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed making the list. Sarfaraz, who led Pakistan to a historic victory in the 2017 Champions Trophy, will play an integral role in engaging fans and sharing his insights throughout the tournament.
The wicketkeeper-batter, who famously captained Pakistan to a memorable win over India in the final, expressed his excitement about returning to the event. Reflecting on his previous triumph, Sarfaraz shared, “I will never forget how special it felt to don the white jackets and lift the trophy as Pakistan captain. Seeing the entire nation celebrate our success is a memory I cherish. I am delighted that the Champions Trophy is back and that Pakistan has the honor of hosting such a prestigious event.”
