The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the match officials for the highly anticipated semi-finals of the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
The first semi-final, set to take place between two former champions, India and Australia, will be officiated by Chris Gaffaney and Richard Illingworth as on-field umpires.
Michael Gough will take up the role of third umpire for the match.
Meanwhile, the second semi-final, between New Zealand and South Africa at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium, will see Kumar Dharmasena and Paul Reiffel officiating on the field.
Joel Wilson will serve as the TV umpire for this fixture. In addition to the on-field umpires, the match referee appointments have also been confirmed.
Andy Pycroft will oversee the first semi-final between India and Australia, while Ranjan Madugalle will handle the second semi-final between New Zealand and South Africa.
The ICC has appointed umpire coaches Stuart Cummings for the first semi-final and Karl Hurter for the second semi-final in Lahore.
