Islamabad, Aug 5: The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has warned customers to exercise caution around electric lines, poles, transformers, meters, and other IESCO equipment in the event of rain due to the recent monsoon rains.
Customers have been cautioned by IESCO not to use appliances like irons when barefoot and to never contact electrical appliances with damp hands, feet, or bodies.In order to minimize short circuits, the business also suggested fixing outdated or faulty wiring. Additionally, they warned the public to avoid touching defective electrical wires in order to prevent mishaps.
In order to respond quickly to complaints and crises pertaining to power, IESCO has informed its field personnel. Employee holidays have been postponed, and all staff members are expected to report for duty.However, as per PM Shehbaz Sharif’s directive, IESCO customers now have an additional 10 days to settle their July bills without incurring any additional fees.In addition, the August bill of customers who have already paid their July electricity bills with a late payment surcharge will include the revised surcharge.
