The Indian High Commission has formally notified Pakistan about the release of water into major rivers, including the Ravi, Chenab, and Sutlej. According to the official communication, large flood waves are expected to pass through these rivers today, August 27, 2025.
As per details, India has shared flood data concerning the following river sites:
- Sutlej River – Harike (below) and Ferozepur (below)
- Ravi River – Madhopur (below)
- Chenab River – Akhnoor (main site)
Officials urged communities residing along riverbanks to remain vigilant and follow instructions from the local administration to ensure safety.
