Punjab government sources confirmed that India has released another massive flood wave by opening all spillway gates of Salal Dam.
According to officials, the discharge from India has reached 800,000 cusecs of water, which is expected to hit Head Marala within the next two days.
District administration authorities said they were informed about the incoming flood wave and have started making announcements in areas along the River Chenab to alert residents.
Preparations are now underway to minimize damage from the expected flooding, with local authorities mobilizing resources and emergency teams to deal with the situation.
