Islamabad, Aug 23: A new feature on Instagram allows users to post a song to their profile, taking users back to the early 2000s Myspace era.
With this latest feature, individuals can now feature a track in their profile’s bio area. However, Instagram users will be able to manually play and pause the music; unlike Myspace, Instagram does not automatically play its songs.
Users can select songs for Reels and posts from Instagram’s licensed music library by going to the “edit profile” section and selecting them. After that, users can choose to broadcast a 30-second clip of the music of their choice.
This feature’s release is accompanied by a unique partnership with pop sensation Sabrina Carpenter. A sneak peek of Carpenter’s brand-new song, “Taste,” from her forthcoming album “Short n’ Sweet,” which is scheduled to be released this Friday, can be found exclusively on her Instagram profile as of right now.
The only way to hear the song before it’s official release is through our profile music feature.
Instagram has concealed features with a theme in honor of Carpenter’s new album. Fan-only chat themes featuring lipstick kisses, and the Carpenter brand will be available, along with temporary blue Notes messages activated by keywords like “Sabrina” and the coffee cup emoji.
