Islamabad, 25 Apr, 2025: The Institute of Space Technology (IST), in partnership with LearnOBots and the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, has embarked on a major educational transformation through the rollout of one of the world’s largest integrated STEAM education programmes in Pakistan’s public schools.
This pioneering project is expected to equip more than 22,000 students from over 150 government institutions with practical knowledge in emerging technologies.
Including Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, the Internet of Things (IoT), and Machine Learning, alongside core elements of STEAM Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics.

With strategic direction inspired by former Federal Education Secretary Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani, the initiative aims to embed innovation and entrepreneurial thinking within classrooms, moving beyond traditional learning models.
The broader goal is to nurture a generation capable of critical thinking, creativity, and leadership in the digital age.
Unlike many global education programmes that only introduce basic coding skills, this comprehensive effort positions Pakistan as a leader among developing nations in future-oriented education.
By fully integrating next-generation learning into its public education system, the country is setting a new benchmark for how national school systems can evolve to meet modern demands.
To ensure the programme’s lasting success and consistent quality, LearnOBots will train and deploy 150 specialist teachers across participating schools.
These educators will not only deliver lessons but also act as mentors guiding students in applying their skills and turning knowledge into innovation.
