Islamabad, May 25, 2025: A high-level meeting chaired by Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has led to a decisive move against illegal constructions and unapproved housing societies in the federal capital.

Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry and Federal Secretary for Interior Affairs were also present, alongside key field officials including the Chief Commissioner of Islamabad, IG Islamabad Police, Deputy Commissioner, DIGs, SPs, and ACs.

During the meeting, Mohsin Naqvi directed immediate operations against all forms of unauthorized construction. He also ordered a strict crackdown on unapproved housing societies and unauthorized residential buildings.

Stressing a zero-tolerance policy, the minister emphasized the use of the Land Information and Management System (LIMS) and satellite mapping to identify and prevent illegal developments.

“The primary goal should be to deliver world-class civic services to the residents of Islamabad,” said Naqvi. “Ensuring the safety of citizens’ lives and property must be our top priority.” He instructed SPs and ACs to perform their duties proactively and efficiently.

The Interior Minister highlighted the need to improve the public image of the police and administration. “This is only possible if citizens have confidence in your work,” he added. He encouraged officials to introduce new citizen-friendly initiatives and assured full support for their implementation.

He urged all departments to move forward with a national spirit and strong commitment to achieve concrete results.

Naqvi also issued directives to ensure effective price control of essential commodities in Islamabad and emphasized the importance of maintaining cleanliness during the Eid-ul-Adha holidays.
