Islamabad, Oct 20: Internet Suspensions in Pakistan Cause Growing Frustration Among Freelancers. Slow internet speeds and the suspension of mobile services are major problems for freelancers in Pakistan, and Peshawar in particular. Their freelancers’ livelihoods have been negatively impacted as their projects for overseas assignments have stalled.
Slow internet speeds have been causing emotional hardship for weeks for individuals all around Pakistan. According to Peshawar’s digital specialist Waleed Paracha, these network outages have affected over 70% of the region’s jobs.
Numerous young Peshawar freelancers are complaining that internet interruptions are directly causing their clientele to decline every day. They have found it challenging to fulfill project deadlines as a result of the circumstance, endangering their long-term partnerships with foreign clients.
Experts caution that millions of dollars in economic losses could arise from the slow internet and call on the government to act quickly to address the issue.
