Islamabad, Sep 11: Yesterday marked the formal release of the Apple iPhone 16 series, which includes the iPhone 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro, and 16 Pro Max. The A18/A18 Pro 3nm chipsets that power these phones are noticeably improved; they include generative AI capabilities, improved photography, and much more.
Although they are not yet commercially accessible, these phones should become available everywhere later this month, including in Pakistan. Since we already know that the base iPhone 16 costs $800 in the US, we may estimate what it might cost in Pakistan.
As of right now, $800 is worth Rs. 223,323 in exchange. This price increases to Rs. 279,154 (rounded up) after 25% fixed sales tax is added, but we haven’t yet taken local shops’ profit margins into consideration. Since we don’t know the exact pricing, we may infer that the Apple iPhone 16 will cost more than Rs. 330,000 in Pakistan, though actual costs may fluctuate depending on the shop.
Similarly, the $900 iPhone 16 Plus might potentially cost as much as Rs. 370,000 or more. In the meantime, the base model of the priciest iPhone 16 Pro Max, which will sell for $1,199 in the US, is anticipated to cost more than Rs. 500,000 in Pakistan.
But bear in mind that the prices listed above are simply estimates; the real costs won’t be revealed until the phone is delivered to Pakistan. As of right now, there’s no sign of a launch from Pakistan.
