Promotion of online gambling apps have once again come under the spotlight as the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has issued a notice to YouTuber Iqra Kanwal’s husband, Areeb Parvaiz. He has been directed to appear before the agency today.
Earlier, Iqra Kanwal was also served notices by NCCIA in connection with the same case, but she has not appeared so far.
However, in response Kanwal had submitted a written reply to the NCCIA through her lawyer Barrister Mian Ali Ashfaq, her legal counsel in which she stated that she is pregnant and due to give birth soon.
The reply further stated that once she recovers, Kanwal is prepared to “fully cooperate with the investigation and provide all necessary records”.
