Islamabad, June 25, 2025: Iranian authorities have announced a gradual lifting of internet restrictions that were imposed during the recent 12-day conflict with Israel. Iran eases internet curbs following the implementation of a ceasefire between the two long-standing adversaries, AFP reports.
“The communication network is gradually returning to its previous state,” declared the Revolutionary Guards’ cyber security command in a statement carried by state media.
This move signals a return to normalcy in Iran’s digital landscape after the period of heightened tensions.

The representative of Iran’s Ministry of Information and Communications Technology, Sattar Hashemi, confirmed the development of Iran’s easing of internet curbs in a post on X.
He states, “With the normalisation of conditions, the state of communication access has returned to its previous conditions.”
The easing of these curbs suggests a step towards de-escalation in the region. It will provide citizens broader access to online platforms that were restricted during the conflict.
