Islamabad, July 14, 2025: In a shocking escalation of the Israel-Iran war 2025, an Israeli airstrike struck a high-level Iranian security meeting in Tehran on June 15, leaving President Masoud Pezeshkian with a leg injury. The revelation, reported by Iran’s Fars News Agency, has raised serious concerns about the depth of Israeli intelligence operations inside Iran.
According to Iranian sources, Israel had bombed to kill Iran’s newly elected President Pezeshkian, in what many see as a clear violation of sovereignty and international law. Pezeshkian miraculously survived the strike but suffered a leg injury. Each and every international law and norm, Netanyahu has violated—a claim echoed by Iranian officials and human rights advocates globally.
Held in a secure basement facility in western Tehran, the secret meeting of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council was attended by the heads of all three government branches. The report claims six precision-guided bombs hit both the entrance and exit points of the facility, mimicking tactics used in past assassinations like that of Hezbollah’s Hassan Nasrallah.
The attack triggered a floor-wide blackout and forced officials to flee through a hidden emergency hatch. Despite the chaos, most escaped with minor injuries.
Possibility of Internal Leak Suspected
Iranian sources suggest that the accuracy of the strike could only be achieved through internal infiltration, hinting at a possible mole. An investigation is now underway to determine if Israeli intelligence had help from within Iranian ranks.
This incident marks one of the boldest Israeli operations in recent memory and comes during the 12-day Israeli Iranian conflict, which erupted on June 12. Israel’s military campaign has primarily targeted IRGC infrastructure across Iran, with U.S. forces also striking three suspected nuclear sites.
Heavy Casualties Reported on Both Sides
Iranian officials report over 1,000 fatalities due to Israeli-led operations, while retaliatory Iranian missile barrages have caused widespread destruction across Israeli territory—making it the deadliest attack on Israel since its founding in 1948.
