Islamabad, June 25, 2025: Iran’s top officials have reaffirmed that the country will never abandon its nuclear technology, despite recent U.S. and Israeli strikes on key nuclear sites.
Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, while speaking to local media on Tuesday, said Iran’s nuclear program is non-negotiable and a product of decades of scientific dedication.
“We have worked extremely hard to acquire nuclear technology. Our scientists have made great sacrifices. The people of Iran have endured immense hardships,” Araghchi stated. “We will not give it up under any circumstances.”
The comments follow a series of airstrikes allegedly launched by the United States on Iran’s nuclear facilities at Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan—all of which remain under International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) inspection. President Donald Trump claimed the aim was to “destroy Iran’s nuclear capabilities.”
Nuclear Program Cannot Be Dismantled by Force
Behrouz Kamalvandi, spokesman for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), responded strongly to the attacks, asserting that Iran’s nuclear infrastructure is deeply entrenched and resilient.
“This industry is rooted in the Iranian nation. It cannot simply be uprooted or destroyed by foreign aggression,” Kamalvandi said.
He emphasized that the Iran nuclear program is purely peaceful and continues to evolve as part of Iran’s broader scientific and technological ambitions.
“Given our potential, the advancement of this industry is not optional—it is necessary,” he added.
Iran Prepares to Restore Damaged Nuclear Sites
Iran’s nuclear chief, Mohammad Eslami, confirmed that assessments are underway to repair damaged sites and maintain full operational capability. Speaking to Mehr News Agency, he stressed the importance of continuity in nuclear research and development.
