Islamabad, June 14, 2025: Iran air defense system has reportedly downed two Israeli Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II stealth jets along with numerous miniature unmanned aircraft, and taken into custody a female Israeli air force pilot, according to Tasnim news agency.
The Iranian military has not yet issued any official statement confirming the incident.
However, the Israeli military, known as the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), has denied the claims. In a response, IDF Arabic-language spokesperson Avichay Adraee described the accusations as “completely baseless.”
These remarks follow escalating tensions after Israel launched extensive aerial operations targeting Iranian military and atomic sites, sparking concerns of a wider regional conflict.

Reports also emerged on social platforms suggesting that Israeli female pilot Sarah Ahronot captured IRGC after her F-35 fighter jet was allegedly taken down in Iranian airspace.
However, the image being widely circulated as reference of her actually shows Second Lieutenant Daniele Figueroa Scholz of the Chilean Navy, whose name can be clearly seen on her uniform in the image.
