Islamabad, Sep 28: IRSA Releases 195,700 Cusecs of Water to Manage River Flows. An inflow of 181,800 cusecs, the Indus River System Authority (IRSA) released 195,700 cusecs of water from several rim stations on Saturday.The data made public by IRSA indicates that the water level at Tarbela Dam on the River Indus was 1536.77 feet, which is 138.77 feet above its dead level of 1,398 feet.
The dam’s recorded water intake and outflow were 112,700 cusecs and 95,000 cusecs, respectively. At Mangla Dam, the River Jhelum’s water level was 1217.80 feet, 169.80 feet above its dead level of 1,050 feet. 13,400 cusecs were recorded for the water input and 45,000 cusecs for the water outflow.
At Kalabagh, Taunsa, Guddu, and Sukkur, the water release was measured at 117,300, 83,500, 85,000, and 33,600 cusecs, in that order. Likewise, a total of 20,700 cusecs of water were discharged from the River Kabul at Nowshera and 6,600 cusecs from the River Chenab at Marala.
