Islamabad, Sep 20: The Excise and Taxation Department in Islamabad has introduced new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) aimed at enhancing services and reducing the influence of the agent mafia in vehicle registration.
The updated process allows vehicle owners to authorize others for registration or transfer via an authorization letter or biometric verification, ensuring security and convenience.
Additionally, a Doorstep Policy enables registration services to be conducted at home or office, with mobile vans available in key locations for on-the-spot registrations.
Citizens can now apply for vehicle registration online and request a challan ticket to understand government fees.
For assistance, a helpline is available at 051-111-383-383 from 8 AM to 4 PM on working days. Director Excise Bilal Azam encourages citizens to take advantage of these improved facilities for a more efficient registration process.
