Islamabad, Jan 10: Islamabad experienced a significant temperature drop today, reaching a minimum of 0°C, as the Pakistan Meteorological Department reported.
This cold wave has affected various regions nationwide, with several cities recording freezing or near-freezing temperatures.
Here are the minimum temperatures recorded in major cities:
Lahore: 5°C
Karachi: 10°C
Peshawar: 2°C
Quetta: -2°C
Gilgit: -5°C
Muzaffarabad: 2°C
Skardu: -10°C
Murree: -1°C
Faisalabad: 4°C
Multan: 6°C
In the northern areas, temperatures have plummeted further, with Skardu recording a low of -10°C and Gilgit at -5°C.
The Meteorological Department has advised residents, especially in the colder regions, to take necessary precautions against the harsh weather conditions, as temperatures are expected to remain low in the coming days.
