Islamabad, 13 May, 2025: Islamabad International Airport has gradually resumed Islamabad Flights Resume After Disruptionsflight operations following a series of cancellations and delays earlier in May.
According to airport authorities, between May 11 and 13, a total of 50 international flights landed at the capital’s main terminal, with routes covering major hubs such as Dubai, Riyadh, Doha, Medina, and Istanbul.
However, 28 international flights were canceled during the same period, and one service was marked as non-operational.

Outbound international departures numbered 49, of which 18 were called off, while five flights faced postponements or suspensions due to operational challenges.
Domestic Islamabad flights schedules also showed signs of stabilization. Over the three-day span, 28 domestic flights reached Islamabad from cities including Karachi, Skardu, Gilgit, Quetta, Lahore, and Peshawar.
Yet, 14 domestic services were canceled and three were deemed non-operational. On the departure side, 25 local flights took off, with nine cancellations and four listed as non-functional.

Airport management attributed the majority of the cancellations to operational constraints or external factors beyond their immediate control. The process of fully restoring regular operations remains in progress.
