ISLAMABAD, May 29, 2025: The weather took a turn once again on Thursday evening with yet another windstorm followed by rain in some parts of Islamabad.
While this is in line with the weather forecast until June 1, for Islamabad as well as other regions of the country, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a fresh advisory for possible weather conditions.

The NDMA statement said that a new weather system is expected to cause thunderstorms, strong winds and heavy rains across the country.
Thunderstorms and hailstorms with heavy rain are expected in Islamabad and Rawalpindi from 6 pm to 11 pm today, while hailstorms, thunderstorms and heavy rain are also expected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, North Punjab and South-East Punjab.
Peshawar, Chasda, Swabi and Mardan in particular will get this weather phenomenon today in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Likewise, heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected in Rahim Yar Khan and Sadiqabad areas in South Punjab.
Wind, storm and heavy rain are also expected in Muzaffarabad and Neelum Valley in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
Such weather events in the mountainous areas of Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan can cause landslides, the NDMA warning said, adding that the authority has also issued instructions to all relevant agencies to ensure advance measures to deal with any possible emergency situation.
The public is requested to be careful during storms and heavy rains, and avoid traveling in areas at risk of rain.

The advisory urges to stay away from weak structures, trees and billboards during strong winds and storms. Standing crops, vehicles and solar panels may be damaged during the expected weather conditions.
The public is requested to take guidance from the Pak NDMA Disaster Alert App for awareness regarding the weather and possible hazards.
