Islamabad: (June 11, 2025): An important meeting was held at CDA Headquarters under the chairmanship of Chairman CDA, Chief Commissioner Islamabad and DG Civil Defence Muhammad Ali Randhawa. The meeting was attended by CDA Member Admin, Member Estate, Member Engineering, Member Finance, Director General Recovery, Deputy Director General Enforcement, Chief Officer of Islamabad Municipal Corporation and other senior CDA officers.
Member Finance briefed the meeting on CDA’s financial position. Expressing satisfaction, Chairman CDA directed DG Recovery to formulate a comprehensive plan of action for timely recovery of CDA’s outstanding dues by coordinating with all relevant departments of CDA thus utilising all resources for recovery of outstanding of CDA dues as per law.
The meeting decided that all those who have pending dues to various departments of CDA must clear them dues immediately. Failure to do so will result in heavy fines and cancellation of property/ lease allotments in accordance with CDA rules.
Moreover, an other briefing was given to Chairman CDA by Engineering Wing of CDA on the progress of development work in Sector E-12. Chairman CDA directed the immediate completion of remaining development work in the sector. He also ordered strict action against illegal encroachments in Sectors E-12 and C-15, ensuring prompt removal of unauthorized occupations.
Similarly, Chairman CDA instructed the swift completion of land award processes in Sector C-16 to clear all pending issues. He directed concerned departments to take strict action against illegal encroachments so that to expedite development work and hand over plots to allottees.
Chairman CDA ordered the early commencement and operationalization of construction work at Capital Food Street and Blue Area Food Street. He emphasized maintaining high standards and quality of work while ensuring all recreational and public facilities are functional very soon.
Chairman CDA directed proper maintenance of all graveyards in Islamabad, including Sector H-11 with road repairs, horticulture improvements and permanent installation of modern lighting. Boundary walls must be constructed/repaired and painted promptly accordingly.
He ordered permanent deployment of environment staff for cleanliness and tree maintenance in graveyards. A 24/7 helpline will be established to provide burial-related information and transport facilities to the citizens. Security and upkeep of graveyards must be ensured at all costs.
Chairman CDA instructed the Planning Wing to identify suitable land for new graveyard as per the master plan, considering Islamabad’s growing population.
Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa stated that CDA is utilizing all resources to develop Islamabad into a prosperous, beautiful, and model city. He affirmed that various projects are being expedited to meet citizens’ residential, transportation, and recreational needs.
