It was further briefed that CDA, the Islamabad administration and DMA are working together to seal, demolish and clear encroachments on drains and water channels across all sectors of Islamabad as well as to reclaim state land from illegal occupants.
CDA has once again advised the public, in their best interest, to voluntarily remove all encroachments on drains. Residential and commercial buildings constructed over water channels and drains are not only illegal and hazardous but are also being sealed. Legal action will be taken against those responsible for illegal encroachments and they will bear full responsibility for any consequences.
