Islamabad, 16th August 2025: The District Magistrate of Islamabad has issued a notification warning the public about heavy to very heavy rainfall forecasted over the next 72 hours by the Pakistan Meteorological Department. To ensure the safety of citizens, particularly hikers and visitors to the Margalla Hills, several popular trails will remain closed until 19th August 2025.
The trails affected include Trail 2, Trail 3, Trail 4, Trail 5, and the trail behind Saidpur Village. The closure is part of precautionary measures to prevent accidents and ensure public safety amid torrential rainfall warnings.

Authorities have requested cooperation from the public and advised avoiding these areas until the weather improves. The notification has been circulated to key offices including the Chief Commissioner Office, Islamabad Police, Capital Development Authority (CDA), and the Ministry of Interior for necessary action.
Officials have emphasized that all necessary precautions will be taken and urged residents and tourists to stay informed through official channels.
