Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa visited the Shaheen Chowk Underpass project on Tuesday to review ongoing construction work. He was accompanied by CDA Member Engineering Syed Nefasat Raza and other senior officials.
During the visit, the project team briefed the CDA chairman about the construction progress, stating that the excavation work on the underpass is moving ahead at full pace. The officials added that 24/7 construction activities are underway to ensure the project is completed on time.
Randhawa directed the engineering staff to make sure that the underpass is completed within the approved timeline and that construction quality meets the highest standards. He emphasized that no compromise would be tolerated on the quality of materials or workmanship.
The CDA chairman remarked that the Shaheen Chowk Underpass would play a major role in reducing traffic congestion across Islamabad. He said the project would particularly benefit students from nearby educational institutions and residents by providing signal-free travel and smoother traffic flow.

He further instructed the Project Director and Resident Engineers to personally monitor the site and ensure the continuous supervision of all development activities.
