Islamabad, 9 May, 2025: Emergency Siren Rehearsals are scheduled to take place across various locations in Islamabad today as part of a preparedness drill organised by the city administration.
Residents have been advised not to panic, as these sirens are part of a routine safety rehearsal to test emergency response systems.

Officials confirmed that the first siren will be sounded at 2:00 PM near Centaurus Mall, followed by another at 3:00 PM in the vicinity of Khudadad Heights in Golra, as well as Zarghun Heights and Zargon Heights in the Tarnol area.
The exercise is designed to assess the effectiveness of the city’s early warning mechanisms and public responsiveness during potential emergency situations.

The local administration has requested the public to cooperate fully and remain calm during the drill. These sirens do not signal any actual danger, but are intended to ensure that emergency infrastructure remains operational and can be swiftly activated if a real crisis arises.
Emergency Siren Rehearsals are part of a growing effort to promote community-level disaster preparedness and crisis response training.
Officials reiterated the importance of such drills in cultivating a culture of resilience and public alertness.
