Plan for restoring the hilltop
Committee members have accepted a restoration model for the hilltop, and an architect will be appointed. The hilltop will be converted into an outdoor area that encourages participation from the public and the preservation of wildlife. The goal is to build a Margalla Viewpoint that would improve public enjoyment and raise awareness of the native plants and animals. As a result, there will be:
1.Installing cozy benches will allow guests to unwind and take in the breathtaking scenery.
2.Planting native plants to promote biodiversity and provide a safe haven for wildlife.
3.Putting up educational displays with native wildlife species would increase public understanding of the biodiversity of the area.
In order to support sustainable water usage and management, a reservoir and a water harvesting system will be erected. The concrete within the terraces’ retaining walls will be removed to make way for a plantation. Additionally, there will be a small emergency response facility with a section dedicated to first aid and quick response for firefighting crises.
