Islamabad, Sep 19: The Pakistan Sports Complex in Islamabad will host the 3rd Quaid-e-Azam Inter-Provincial Youth Games in 2024 from December 13 to December 18. Participants in the games will be athletes from Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK), Gilgit-Baltistan, Balochistan, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Punjab, and Islamabad Capital Territory.
Participants must be 22 years of age or younger to compete. About 3,500 athletes, team officials, and technical officials are anticipated to attend. 16 different disciplines will have competitions throughout the games, including:
Athletics for both sexes
Men’s and women’s badminton
Baseball for both sexes
Men’s and women’s football
Men’s & Women’s Hockey
Judo for both sexes
Karate for both genders
Men and Women’s Squash
Table Tennis for both genders
Men’s and Women’s Taekwondo
Men’s and women’s tennis
Women’s and men’s volleyball
Men’s Boxing
Men’s Kabaddi
Men’s weightlifting
Men’s Wrestling
By involving young people in positive activities, the Quaid-e-Azam Inter-Provincial Youth Games seek to foster a positive athletic atmosphere that fosters national peace. The competition provides a grassroots platform for discovering and developing new talent in a variety of sports.
In addition to promoting national solidarity among young people, officials from the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) have highlighted that the games will give athletes a chance to interact, work together, and share knowledge.
The PSB is dedicated to making sure the games run well. Provincial sports boards will shortly receive instructions on what information to provide about their contingents, such as the number of athletes and the sports in which they will compete. The athletes will receive playing kits, tracksuits, and joggers from the PSB in addition to daily allowances and transportation.
