Islamabad, Apr 11, 2025: The 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) is set to begin today, promising weeks of high-energy cricket and fierce competition.
The much-awaited tournament will feature a total of six franchises and run until May 18, with matches scheduled across various venues in Pakistan.
The season will open with a clash between reigning champions Islamabad United and two-time titleholders Lahore Qalandars at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

Other teams competing this year include former champions Karachi Kings, Quetta Gladiators, Peshawar Zalmi and two times champions Multan Sultans.
A total of 30 league matches will be played before the knockout stages begin, including a qualifier, two eliminators, and the grand finale.
Stars such as David Warner, Kane Williamson, Daryl Mitchell, Rilee Rossouw, Colin Munro, Rassie van der Dussen, and Kusal Perera are expected to take the field this season.
Islamabad United remain the most successful franchise in PSL history, having secured three titles including the season held last under the leadership of Shadab Khan.

Lahore Qalandars had previously won back-to-back titles in 2022 and 2023 before they ended the 2024 edition at the bottom of points table with three points.

In Pakistan, matches will be broadcast on A Sports HD and PTV Sports, with Urdu commentary split between the two.
