Islamabad, May 21, 2025: The Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10 playoffs kick off today with a thrilling Qualifier match between Islamabad United and Quetta Gladiators at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. The winner of today’s match will directly qualify for the grand final, while the losing side will get one more chance in the next eliminator.
Security Tightened for PSL 10 Playoffs
According to Lahore Police spokesperson, the PSL 10 Qualifier, Eliminator, and Final matches are scheduled to be played in Lahore. Special security arrangements have been put in place to ensure a peaceful and safe environment for international cricket.
Lahore Police Chief Bilal Siddique Kamyana stated that highly alert and trained officers are deployed for match security. “Foolproof security is being provided to local and foreign players, officials, and cricket fans. Promoting international cricket in a peaceful environment is our top priority,” he emphasized.
The CCPO Lahore has directed supervisory officers to maintain strong coordination with PCB, district administration, and security agencies. He ordered strict compliance with security SOPs and uninterrupted traffic flow, along with effective implementation of the parking plan.
Dolphin Squad, PRU, and other police teams are conducting rigorous patrolling around player residences, routes, and the stadium.

The Punjab Safe Cities Authority and other control rooms are actively monitoring all key locations.
Mehidy Hasan Miraz Joins Lahore Qalandars
Meanwhile, Bangladesh’s Mehidy Hasan Miraz has officially joined Lahore Qalandars for the remaining PSL 10 matches. Lahore Qalandars will face Karachi Kings in the crucial Eliminator match tomorrow.
