The Interior Ministry has finalized a decision to purchase 20 new vehicles for official use. Ten Toyota Hilux Revo pickup trucks will be handed over to the Islamabad Police, while another ten will be allocated to administrative officers, according to a report by City42.

Each of Islamabad’s eight assistant commissioners will receive a Revo, while SPs posted in the operations division will also be provided new vehicles.

Additionally, the Additional Deputy Commissioner General, SSP Operations, SSP Investigation, SSP Security, and the Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) will be among those using the new vehicles. The Dolphin Force in Islamabad will also receive Revo’s, which are expected to be delivered in October.

Officials of the Interior Ministry said the decision aims to facilitate officers in operational duties, as assistant commissioners and SPs previously faced difficulties using standard cars during operations.
