Islamabad, Oct 14: ISNET and Iranian Space Agency to Host Workshop on Space Technology for Disaster Management in December. An international workshop on “Space Technology Applications for Disaster Management” has been announced by the Iranian Space Agency (ISA) and the Inter-Islamic Network on Space Sciences and Technology (ISNET) as part of their efforts to strengthen international disaster management efforts.
An official source claims that the gathering, which is set for December 15–17 in Tehran, will provide a unique forum for sharing insights on how advanced space technology may be used to improve resilience and readiness for disasters.
In order to investigate the most recent developments in space technology and their potential to lessen the effects of natural and man-made disasters, the workshop will bring together professionals, researchers, and experts from around the world.
Discussions covering a range of topics related to space-based disaster management solutions, such as satellite monitoring, early warning systems, and post-disaster recovery applications, have been invited by ISNET and ISA.
In addition to showcasing technology advancements, the workshop will promote global collaboration in tackling common issues in catastrophe risk reduction.The event will give attendees the chance to work together and help shape catastrophe management in the era of space exploration, with a focus on creating a more resilient planet.
