Islamabad, Sep 23: “Navigating Pakistan’s Climate Action Path: Adaptation, Finance, and Technology” is the theme of the upcoming international conference being organized by the Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSF) and the Centre for Strategic Perspectives (CSP) at the Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad (ISSI).
According to a press announcement, the conference will take place at the Institute of Strategic Studies in Islamabad on September 26, 2024, at 1100 hours.In the run-up to the COP-29 in Baku, Azerbaijan, where important international talks will center on climate financing, the Conference seeks to offer a forum for professional discourse on Pakistan’s climate strategy.
Academics, researchers, climate specialists, and policymakers will examine Pakistan’s developing climate strategy in further detail during the Conference discussions. They will concentrate on three main topics: global climate finance, climate mitigation and adaptation methods, and the difficulties associated with the green transition.
A wide range of people will be present at the event, including students, think tank members, members of civil society, and representatives of the diplomatic community. It is anticipated to encourage a greater comprehension of the pressing concerns surrounding climate change, Pakistan’s national response to it, and its interactions with other countries to protect and advance important common interests.
