New guidelines have been issued for Pakistani citizens who wish to obtain an Italian Schengen visa. According to the instructions, it is now mandatory to submit a valid bank statement along with the visa application.

Data shows that in 2024, the approval rate for Italy’s Schengen visas was 88.72%, making it the third-highest visa approval rate in Europe.

However, the approval of the visa strongly depends on the application and supporting documents, especially the bank statement. The bank statement must prove that you have sufficient financial resources to stay in Italy, and it should not be older than 30 days.

The minimum required amount for daily expenses in Italy is 28 euros. If you plan to stay for 90 days on a Schengen visa, you will need a total of 2,520 euros to cover your expenses.
