You need to clear the entry test of the selected undergraduate program before being considered for nomination.

Graduate-Level Courses
Usually, applicants start as research students for 6 to 12 months and can then shift to master’s or PhD programs after clearing the entrance assessment.
Who Is Eligible to Apply?
Undergraduate Students
- Must be from a country that has formal relations with Japan
- Must qualify the entry exam for the selected Osaka University undergraduate program
- If applying through Embassy Recommendation, students must first finish a one-year Japanese language course
