Jazz CEO Aamir Ibrahim has congratulated PTCL on receiving approval from the Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP) for the acquisition of Telenor Pakistan.
In a statement, Ibrahim said that such consolidation can make the telecom industry more sustainable by ensuring that resources are directed toward expanding services, rather than duplicating networks.
The real priority now should be the timely release of spectrum, essential to unlocking Pakistan’s digital growth and ensuring that millions of people benefit from faster, more affordable connectivity, he added.

Earlier today, the Competition Commission of Pakistan granted conditional approval for the merger between Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) and Telenor Pakistan.
