Islamabad, Dec 12: The Jinnah Avenue underpass would be open to traffic, according to Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi. According to a news release from the interior ministry, the announcement was made while he was there to assess the development at the Serena Chowk Interchange and the F-8 Exchange Chowk Interchange.
The underpass was completed in 43 days, which was hailed by the minister for its speedy completion. Additionally, he said that the F-8 Exchange Chowk Interchange, which has a flyover and connecting loops, should be opened in the second week of February, well within the 100-day window that he and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had set.
The Capital Development Authority (CDA) officials assured that the underpass would meet the tight deadline, while the flyover is also. The minister declared during his tour of the Serena Interchange project that the first week of January would mark its official opening. The goal of the 60-day project was to improve traffic control in the capital.
At both locations, Minister Naqvi praised the employees, contractors, and CDA representatives and urged them to continue their hard work and dedication. He emphasized that the goals of these projects are to greatly enhance Islamabad’s traffic flow and provide cutting-edge infrastructure.
Along with other top officials and contractors, CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa gave the minister an update on the projects’ status. For these massive infrastructure projects, the minister underlined the significance of guaranteeing on-time delivery and high standards of quality.
