Islamabad, Oct 31: K-Electric Consumers to Receive Slight Relief on Bills
For the month of September 2024, K-Electric has asked the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) to approve a Fuel Charges Adjustment (FCA) reduction in customer rates of 16 paisas per unit.
This request was submitted under the NEPRA-governed gasoline price mechanism,
which is typically only applicable to consumer bills for a single month and is evaluated monthly in accordance with the nationwide tariff regime.
Customers will probably profit from this reduction in the form of higher electricity costs in the future.
The application will be reviewed by NEPRA today.
Consumers will receive an estimated relief of more than Rs. 240 million if the change is granted.
Recent changes in fuel prices and regulatory evaluations
Intended to give customers financial relief in the face of growing expenses have prompted this move.
Customers will benefit from a slight drop in their monthly costs as a result of the relief appearing on the next bills.
In order to optimize their savings during this time,
K-Electric advises customers to continue to monitor their energy consumption and utilize energy-saving techniques.
The goal of this alleviation is to lessen the financial strain on consumers
In response to persistent worries about growing energy prices.
Customers will get some relief when the upcoming billing cycle reflects the drop in electricity pricing.
