Islamabad, Oct 16: Kamran Ghulam hit century in his 1st debut Test match against ENG
Kamran Ghulam making his first Test appearance, registered his first hundred for Pakistan in the second Test against England in Multan.

He completed his century in style by hitting a boundary; he is only the second Pakistani to score a century while batting at the No. 4 position on his debut. While the first Pakistani batter was Saleem Malik in 1982.
Not only that, but Kamran Ghulam has also become only the 6th player in Test match to hit a century at no.4 on his debut. The last Aminul Islam did this for Bangladesh way back in the year 2000.
The same goes with Nawab of Pataudi Sr., Gundappa Viswanath and Frank Hayes which are also included in this list. In the above-mentioned list, Kamran Ghulam is ranked 13th century in making Test debut for Pakistan.
Ghulam was in the middle when Pakistan was 2- down in the game, with Abdullah Shafique and Shan Masood both falling from the pavilion.
He got a fair measure of the dressing down and then went on to show a fine touch with Saim Ayub putting up 149 runs which put Pakistan in a much better position on the first day.
Saim Ayub provided a good knock of 77 runs and then was out, followed by departure of the vice-captain Saud Shakeel. However, these follows major setbacks which Kamran Ghulam has standing firm as the man anchoring the innings, showing a lot of fight and dig in.
At the time of writing this, Pakistan is 218 for 4 with 17-year-old Kamran Ghulam, a century which gave the team a much-needed lift in the tournament.
The game also proves that injury-struck Nasir Jamshed may pose as the shining star in the Pakistani line-up in near future while the depth of talent in the national side can be seen through this match.
