New Zealand cricket team’s star batter Kane Williamson has announced his retirement from T20 International cricket.

The New Zealand Cricket Board confirmed the retirement of Kane Williamson on the social media platform X, stating that the former captain has decided not to take part in the upcoming white-ball series against the West Indies so that he can focus on the Test series scheduled for December.

Kane Williamson is the second-highest run scorer for New Zealand in T20 Internationals. The star cricketer made his T20I debut in 2011 and represented New Zealand in 93 matches, scoring 2,575 runs with 18 half-centuries.
