Islamabad, Aug 22: On Thursday, 13 more flights at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport were canceled owing to operational and technical problems, resulting in a considerable increase in the number of canceled flights at the airport.
Pakistan International Airline (PIA) flight PK-503 from Karachi to Gwadar and FlyNas flight SY-638 from Karachi to Jeddah were among the flights that were impacted on Thursday. In addition, AirBlue flight PA-200 and SereneAir flight ER-504 from Karachi to Islamabad were canceled.
In addition, AirSial flights PF-145 from Karachi to Islamabad and PF-143 from Karachi to Lahore were canceled, as were SereneAir flights ER-522 and ER-524 from Karachi to Lahore. There were also issues with PIA flights PK-747 and PK-767 from Karachi to Jeddah.
There were also cancellations on PIA flights PK-306 from Karachi to Lahore, PK-536 from Karachi to Sukkur, and PK-368 from Karachi to Islamabad. It should be mentioned that multiple flights were canceled on Wednesday due to operational and technical issues at Karachi Airport.
A dog was shot and killed last week at Jinnah International Airport in Karachi in a different incident. A representative for the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) said that the dog had wandered into a restricted area where they are not allowed. The Anti-Narcotics Force dog was allegedly involved in the event, which happened at around three in the morning.
