Islamabad, July 4, 2025: The Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Green Line operations will stay halted in the Karachi on the 8th, 9th, and 10th of Muharram due to security-related issues, a representative revealed on Friday.

As per the spokesperson, seven out of ten routes of the Peoples Bus Service will remain non-operational on the 9th and 10th of Muharram.

On the 8th of Muharram, five routes of the Peoples Bus Service will face partial suspension, the spokesperson further stated.

Separately, the Karachi Traffic Police have shared an elaborate traffic diversion plan for these three days.

MA Jinnah Road will stay closed between Guru Mandir and Tower due to safety concerns, according to the plan shared on social media platforms.

Alternative ways have been suggested for commuters. Those travelling from Nazimabad have been advised to take Lasbela Chowk through Garden area to arrive at Nishtar Park.

Travellers from Liaquatabad should turn right at Teen Hatti and proceed via Martin Road.

Commuters heading from Hassan Square to PP Chowrangi may use Kashmir Road beneath Jail Flyover, then continue towards Society Light Signal (Shahrah-e-Quaideen), or opt for Jail Flyover to reach Teen Hatti and Nishtar Road via Lasbela Chowk.
