Islamabad, Apr 10, 2025: In a decisive step to address the recent fire outbreak at Korangi Creek, the Government of Pakistan’s Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division) has officially formed a technical committee to examine the incident and ensure preventive measures.
This action follows a formal letter sent by the Commissioner Karachi Division on April 3, 2025, emphasizing the critical nature of the situation.
As per the announcement released by the Directorate General of Petroleum Concessions, the committee includes experienced professionals from the upstream oil and gas industry.
