Islamabad, May 2, 2025: With intermediate examinations set to begin in Karachi on May 5, the city’s Inter Board has approached the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to address rising concerns over exam paper leaks and digital cheating.
In an official letter sent to the FIA’s Cyber Crime Wing, the board has requested urgent intervention against those involved in leaking question papers and distributing solved answers via social media platforms.
According to the board, these acts have evolved into well-organised online scams that not only damage the credibility of the education system but also qualify as cybercrime under existing laws.

The board highlighted that various WhatsApp groups and online forums are being used to sell solved exam papers to students in exchange for money.
These groups, the board warned, are undermining the fairness of the examination process and giving unfair advantages to some candidates over others.
Officials also expressed concern that the issue has become more sophisticated with time, as traditional cheating methods have now shifted to digital platforms.
They urged the FIA to trace the people managing these online networks and take strict legal action against them to ensure transparency and discipline during the exams.

The Karachi Board stated that protecting the integrity of the exam process is critical for maintaining public trust in the education system.
They added that without timely action, the efforts of honest students and teachers could be rendered meaningless.
The intermediate exams in Karachi will run from May 5 to May 29, and authorities are now on high alert to prevent any further leaks or cheating incidents.
The board assured students and parents that it is taking every possible step to ensure a fair and secure examination environment.
