Islamabad, Jan 9: The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) has encountered unusual exam submissions, including answer sheets containing songs, stories, and blank pages with only the question paper attached. Notably, one student enclosed a Rs. 1,000 note with a plea: “This is all I could manage, please pass me.”
In response, BIEK Chairman Sharaf Ali Shah has established a committee to thoroughly investigate these incidents. The committee, led by a principal and comprising subject experts, aims to ensure fairness and transparency in the examination process.
The recent developments have led to administrative changes within BIEK. Chairman Professor Ameer Hussain Qadri was dismissed following dissatisfaction with the 2024 intermediate examination results. Sharaf Ali Shah has assumed the interim chairmanship, with a mandate to address the ongoing issues. These actions underscore BIEK’s commitment to upholding academic integrity and supporting students through transparent and responsive measures.
