Islamabad, 26 May , 2025: Youm-e-Takbeer has prompted a revision in the examination timetable for intermediate students across Karachi, as authorities announced a change in dates to accommodate the government-declared public holiday on Wednesday, May 28, 2025.

Exam Postponement Confirmed by Education Board

Youm-e-Takbeer adjustments were officially confirmed by the Higher Secondary Education Board Karachi. Acting on directives from Chairman Ghulam Hussain Soho, the board declared that all examinations scheduled for May 28 would now take place on Friday, May 30.

The decision follows the Sindh government’s announcement of a public holiday to mark the nuclear test anniversary.

Students enrolled in the Science Pre-Medical and Science General Groups were among those affected by the scheduling changes. The Board has urged students to take note of the revised dates and prepare accordingly.

Detailed Revised Schedule Released

Youm-e-Takbeer holiday has specifically impacted several key papers. The postponed Botany Paper I (for both new syllabus candidates and students repeating the subject) was initially set for May 28 between 9 am and 11 am, and will now be conducted on May 30 at the same time.

Similarly, the English (Normal) Paper I, which was scheduled for May 28 from 2 pm to 5 pm, will also be held on May 30 without any change in the exam timing. Meanwhile, the English Advanced Paper I for students repeating the subject remains unchanged and will take place as previously planned on May 30 from 3 pm to 6 pm.

No Change in Examination Centers

Despite the schedule adjustments, the Board clarified that all examination centers would remain the same. Students have been advised to report to their originally assigned venues and adhere to the updated timings.
