Islamabad, Apr 12, 2025: Karachi Kings have reshuffled their squad for the 10th edition of PSL after facing injury-related setbacks to key overseas players.
The former champions has brought in Ben McDermott and Saad Baig as partial replacements ahead of the opening fixtures of the tournament.
McDermott, known for his explosive batting in short formats, has been added in place of the Bangladeshi opening batter Litton Das.
Das, selected in the Silver Category during the PSL 2025 draft, sustained an injury during training before the start of the tournament.

Scans later confirmed a hairline fracture, ruling him out of at least the early stages of the competition. Das left for Bangladesh.
McDermott, with notable performances in the Big Bash League and in The Hundred, is expected to bring both power and experience to Karachi’s top order.
In a parallel move, Saad Baig has been named as a temporary replacement for Kane Williamson, who is unavailable for the Karachi leg of the tournament.
Williamson was initially listed in the Supplementary Category but will sit out the early matches due to fitness concerns.

Baig, who impressed during the recent ICC U19 World Cup, had previously been part of Karachi’s Emerging Category squad and is seen as a promising local talent.
Both replacements have been made on a partial basis, leaving room for the original players to return later in the season if cleared by medical staff.
Karachi Kings will begin their PSL 10 campaign against Multan Sultans on Saturday at the National Stadium, Karachi.
The match is scheduled to begin at 8 PM and is expected to attract strong attention as the revamped squad looks to make a winning start.
