Islamabad, Aug 25: The largest IT and telecom expo in Pakistan, ITCN Asia, will hold its 25th edition from August 27 to 29 at the Karachi Expo Center. In order to establish Pakistan as a developing worldwide tech hub, the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) has prioritized important objectives, which the event seeks to facilitate for investors and businesspeople in the IT industry.
Through ITCN Asia, over $500 million in investments are expected, which could strengthen Pakistan’s economy. To further solidify Pakistan’s standing in the international technology sphere, the exhibition will also play host to the second iteration of the World CIO 200 Summit, an international gathering including 55 nations.
Shaza Fatima Khawaja, the state minister for telecom and IT, will be the main guest to open the event. During the three-day trade expo, Jam Kamal, the Federal Minister of Commerce, will be the main guest at the Agri-Tech conference.
750 well-known national and international businesses will be present at the event, including PTCL, Google, TikTok, Microsoft, Odoo, Huawei, and EasyPaisa.
Over 300 speakers from the tech sector and 70,000 attendees—350 of them are foreign delegates from 17 countries—are anticipated.
There will be a number of knowledge sessions covering subjects including blockchain, e-commerce, gaming and animation, digital banking, information security, cloud and data center, investor summit, digital transformation, and the World CIO 200 Summit.
According to Umair Nizam, Event Director of ITCN Asia, Pakistan’s IT industry is expanding quickly as local businesses expand throughout several nations and exports continue to rise. He also mentioned that international businesses are forming more alliances with Pakistani businesses, which is helping the local sector grow.
The Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Ignite, CISO, Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA), Pakistan Telecommunication Authority, Pakistan Software Export Board, Ministry of IT and Telecom, SIFC, Tech Destination Pakistan, and Pakistan Telecommunication Authority are all supporting the 25th ITCN Asia.
