Islamabad, Aug 4, 2025: Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab on Sunday officially inaugurated Karachi Fish Food Street in Keamari, offering a fresh recreational venue for citizens and tourists alike. Described as a distinctive hub for leisure and flavor, the new food street is designed to promote both local culture and tourism in the area.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Mayor Wahab shared that the project introduces a new hotspot for food enthusiasts with a variety of seafood dishes, grilled items and traditional specialties. Families can enjoy the comfortable seating arrangements and a clean, welcoming environment.
Giving further insight, the mayor revealed that the food street spans 62,000 square feet paved with blocks and 35,000 square feet covered with tuff tiles. The space also features 25 classic-style light poles, a 1,400-foot sewerage line, two grand arch gates, 100,000 square feet of patchwork, 3,000 feet lined with kerb stones and decorations including 500 vibrant umbrellas.

He noted that this Fish Food Street in Keamari fulfills a long-awaited demand of locals, who had hoped for a dining area similar to Burns Road. Under PPP leadership and the vision of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, development projects are being executed equally across the city.
