Kia has officially taken the wraps off the 2026 Kia Stonic, its popular compact crossover that has quickly become a global bestseller. The new Stonic comes with a refreshed design, advanced tech features, and improved fuel efficiency, ensuring it stays competitive in the ever-growing crossover market.
The facelift was revealed on September 1, 2025, with production set to begin in South Korea and Slovakia. Sales will roll out in phases—first in Korea and Europe in early 2026, followed by Australia, the Middle East, and South America by mid-2026. A North American launch is expected later in 2026.
What’s New in the 2026 Kia Stonic?
Exterior Refresh
The updated Stonic now carries a sportier stance with sharper LED headlights, a reworked grille, and redesigned bumpers, giving it a more premium and aggressive look.
Interior and Technology
Inside, Kia has upgraded the cabin with a larger infotainment system, improved connectivity, and enhanced driver-assist features—making it a smarter and safer choice for urban drivers.
Powertrain Options
In select markets, Kia will also introduce mild-hybrid variants, aligning with its strategy to promote sustainable and fuel-efficient mobility solutions.
Kia Stonic in Pakistan – Current Scenario
The Kia Stonic was first launched in Pakistan in 2021 through Lucky Motors, positioned as a stylish yet affordable crossover below the Kia Sportage. It competes with the Honda HR-V, Toyota Corolla Cross, Suzuki Vitara (imported), and MG ZS.
Currently, Kia Pakistan offers two trims—EX and EX+, priced between PKR 5.7 million and PKR 6.3 million (as of 2025). However, this version is still the pre-facelift Stonic.

Will Pakistan Get the Facelifted Kia Stonic?
The big question for local buyers is whether Kia will introduce the facelifted Stonic in Pakistan. The answer depends on several factors:
- Market Demand – Kia has prioritized models like the Sportage and Sorento due to higher demand.
 - Import Restrictions – Ongoing CKD import challenges could delay its launch.
 - Pricing Strategy – With rising car prices, affordability will play a major role in Kia’s decision.

Why It Matters for Pakistani Buyers
If introduced, the facelifted Stonic could give Kia an edge in Pakistan’s growing crossover market, especially against the Honda HR-V and Toyota Corolla Cross. Younger buyers seeking a tech-savvy, fuel-efficient, and stylish crossover may find the new Stonic an attractive option.
A possible mild-hybrid variant would also appeal to eco-conscious drivers who want affordability without compromising on modern features.
The 2026 Kia Stonic facelift signals Kia’s commitment to keeping its global lineup fresh and appealing. While Pakistan might have to wait, the updated Stonic could prove to be a game-changer if Lucky Motors decides to launch it locally. With the right pricing, it could reignite excitement in a segment that’s becoming increasingly competitive.
